Cookie Policy

Effective date: October 22, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Clovord uses, why we use them, how long they last, and how you can withdraw consent. It supplements our Privacy Policy and meets UK PECR / EU ePrivacy expectations for a dedicated cookie notice.

Introduction

Controller: Noah-Steffen Pansegrau (trading as Clovord), Parkstraße 17, 59846 Sundern, Germany. Privacy contact: privacy@clovord.com.

When you visit clovord.com or use the web app, we place cookies on your device where necessary to run the Service, and optional cookies only after you choose Accept on the cookie banner.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage for preferences (for example locale or a copy of your cookie choice). Essential cookies are required to provide a service you request (sign-in, security). Non-essential cookies need your consent under PECR / ePrivacy.

Cookies we use

Name Type Purpose Duration
clv_sess Essential Keeps you signed in (HttpOnly session cookie set by the API after login) Up to 30 days, or until logout
clv_cookie_consent Essential Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies so we do not ask again every visit 12 months
clv_cookie_probe Essential Checks that your browser can store cookies needed for login and security 24 hours
clv_ref Essential / functional Remembers a referral code from a shared invite link long enough to attribute signup 30 days
clv_discord_callback_result / clv_tellmelo_callback_result Essential Short-lived result of an external login callback, then cleared Minutes / until consumed

We may also keep a consent copy in localStorage under clv:cookieConsent:v1. That is not a cookie, but it serves the same purpose as the consent cookie.

Optional analytics cookies are only set if you press Accept on the banner and we have an analytics tool enabled for your visit. Reject optional leaves essential cookies only. Disabling all cookies in the browser may prevent sign-in.

How to manage cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in Settings → Privacy. Steps differ by browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari). Blocking essential cookies will stop login and other required features from working.

Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change cookies or tools. The effective date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, via the cookie banner.
