Clovord — Terms of Service
Overview
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Clovord, including our apps, websites, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Acceptance
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Eligibility Minimum age: 14
You must be at least 14 years old to use Clovord. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service. You may not use the Service if applicable laws prohibit you from doing so.
Accounts & Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up-to-date.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security incident.
- We may reclaim usernames or handles in cases of impersonation, trademark concerns, or inactivity.
Acceptable Use
When using Clovord, you agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Harass, threaten, or harm others; incite violence or hatred.
- Post or distribute illegal, sexually exploitative, or extremely violent content.
- Engage in spam, scams, phishing, malware, or unauthorized data collection.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including rate-limit abuse or denial-of-service activity.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise access non-public areas of the Service.
- Use the Service to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Modify, inject, or override any part of the Service’s client or interface, including but not limited to custom CSS, scripts, extensions, userstyles, or third-party modifications that alter functionality, appearance, or behavior.
We may take enforcement actions (including content removal, feature restrictions, or account suspension) to protect users and the Service.
Test Accounts & Servers
- Clovord may provide test or sandbox environments (including “test accounts” and “test servers”) for evaluation, integration, or development purposes. These are offered on an as-is, no-SLA basis and may be limited, throttled, or removed at any time without notice.
- Do not use real production or personal data in test environments. You are responsible for using only anonymized or dummy data and for complying with applicable privacy and data protection laws.
- Use of test environments remains subject to these Terms and our Acceptable Use rules, including rate limits and anti-abuse measures. We may monitor, moderate, or delete test content to maintain platform stability.
- Security testing (e.g., vulnerability scans, load testing) is not permitted without our prior written authorization. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, please contact us via the channels listed in the Contact section.
- Access tokens, credentials, and any non-public documentation provided for testing are confidential and may not be shared, resold, or transferred. We may revoke or rotate such access at our discretion.
- Features, flags, experiments, and APIs available in test environments are subject to change and may never be released generally. Do not rely on them for production use.
Relationship to Community Guidelines
Our Community Guidelines explain expected behavior and content rules. While the Guidelines are not a contract, violations may result in enforcement under these Terms (e.g., warnings, temporary restrictions, or termination).
User Content, License & Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit, upload, or display on the Service (“User Content”). To operate and improve the Service, you grant Clovord a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and technical purposes), display, and distribute your User Content solely for providing the Service.
Our Property
The Service, including software, visuals, trademarks, and branding, is owned by Clovord and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except as permitted by law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service.
Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or compensation.
Payments & Subscriptions
- Paid features (if any) will be clearly disclosed before purchase, including price, renewal period, and cancellation instructions.
- Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
- Taxes may apply based on your billing address.
- Refunds: Where required by law or explicitly stated by Clovord policy. Otherwise, purchases are final.
Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party services or link to third-party content. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services. Your use of them may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.
Suspension & Termination
- We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we believe your use poses risk to users or the Service.
- You may stop using the Service at any time. You can request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive.
