Community Guidelines

Effective date: October 24, 2025 Last updated: October 24, 2025

Our goal is a safe, welcoming, and creative space. These Guidelines explain how to behave on Clovord and what content is allowed. They complement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Overview

The Guidelines are a practical rulebook for day-to-day use. They are not a legal contract—that’s the ToS—but violations can lead to enforcement actions under the ToS.

Core Principles

Be respectful

Treat others with dignity. Disagree without personal attacks. Create inclusive spaces.

Think safety-first

Do not endanger others. No incitement to violence, doxxing, or encouragement of self-harm.

Add value

Share helpful, creative, or constructive content. Keep discussions on-topic in each channel.

Follow the rules

Respect local laws, these Guidelines, server rules, and moderator instructions.

Behavior Rules

  • No harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeted insults against protected characteristics.
  • No bullying, stalking, or coordinated harassment campaigns.
  • No exploitation or endangerment of minors. Zero tolerance.
  • No sharing of others’ private information (doxxing) without explicit consent.
  • No glorification of self-harm, suicide instructions, or encouragement of dangerous activities.
  • Respect channel topics, server rules, and staff instructions.

Content Rules

Prohibited Content

  • Illegal content; extremist propaganda; terrorist recruitment or praise.
  • Sexual content involving minors; sexualization of minors (including drawings/AI); revenge porn.
  • Malware, phishing kits, credential theft, or instructions to bypass security.
  • Graphic violence or gore shared to shock or harm others.
  • IP infringement (piracy, cracked software, stolen assets) and privacy violations.

Restricted / Contextual

  • Educational/security research must be clearly contextualized and lawful; never distribute active payloads.
  • Medical, legal, or financial advice must include appropriate disclaimers when relevant.

NSFW & Sensitive Media

  • Servers/channels hosting adult content must be clearly labeled and access-restricted.
  • No sexual content involving minors—directly or indirectly. Zero tolerance.
  • Do not use unsolicited NSFW avatars, banners, or usernames in general spaces.
  • Graphic violence/gore must be avoided in general spaces; use clear warnings and only if contextually necessary.

Spam, Scams & Automation

  • No unsolicited mass DMs, link spam, or deceptive redirects.
  • No scams, impersonation of staff, or fake “support” accounts.
  • Bots and automation must follow rate limits and provide opt-out where applicable.
  • No artificial engagement (fake likes, boosted numbers) to manipulate discovery.

Usernames, Avatars & Profiles

  • No hateful slurs, explicit sexual content, or graphic violence in names/avatars/banners.
  • No impersonation of individuals, brands, or Clovord staff. Parody must be clear.
  • Respect trademark and copyright when using logos or brand names.

Advertising & Self-Promotion

  • Follow each server’s rules for promos, invites, or affiliate links.
  • Disclose paid promotions or sponsorships clearly.
  • No misleading claims or fake giveaways.

Server & Moderator Responsibilities

  • Servers must maintain clear local rules consistent with these Guidelines and the ToS.
  • Moderators should act consistently, document major actions, and avoid conflicts of interest.
  • Use channel topics, access controls, and slowmode to maintain order where needed.
  • Immediately remove illegal content and report it where required by law.

Moderation & Enforcement

Enforcement actions depend on context and severity and may include:

  • Content removal, warnings, temporary mutes or feature restrictions.
  • Timed suspensions, server-level bans, or platform account termination.
  • Reporting to authorities when legally required or in cases of imminent harm.

We consider intent, harm, history of behavior, and cooperation when deciding outcomes.

Reporting & Appeals

  • Report violations via in-app tools or your server’s moderators.
  • Appeals should be concise, factual, and include relevant message links/IDs.
  • Submitting repeated or abusive appeals may lead to restrictions.

Minimum Age

Clovord is for users 16 years and older. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian. See Eligibility in our ToS.

Updates

We may update these Guidelines from time to time to address new features or safety concerns. The “Effective date” above reflects the latest revision.
